SketchUp 3-D Design Tool

I mentioned in earlier posts that along with renovating my home, I'll also renovate my life. Part of that includes an interior design degree at a local community college.

In one of my current courses, Design 125–Visual Presentation, we're learning to use a popular design tool called SketchUp.

SketchUp is a 3-D software that allows a designer to create a space model as a representation of a completed room to share with a client.

While this version is far from complete, you can see that a plan is slowly beginning to take shape.

With Sketchup, you can change colors, textures, furniture pieces, furniture arrangement, wall coverings, window choices, and many other features of a completed interior or exterior space.
