Hi, guys — welcome to Hermosa Home! I’m Hope, a wife and mother, as well as a lover of animals, warm weather, and all things design.

My family and I are in the process of creating our forever home, a beautiful space for beautiful living, and I’m using this space to chronicle our journey.

​

In order to create a beautiful—yet affordable—home, we’re tackling the vast majority of work ourselves.

​

In case you’re wondering about the name, Hermosa Home, it was inspired by my husband’s heritage. He was born and raised in Argentina, so his first language is Spanish. And hermosa translates to beautiful.

 

In addition to chronicling our home renovation, I will renovate my life along the way by transitioning from corporate America to a full-time design career. As a full-time design student and part-time, in-home designer for a major retailer, I like to think that I'm well on my way!

 

While I can’t promise that either journey will be pretty, I hope both will be a lot of fun!
